Is there a way to fit window heating on the rear windows of and estate / van ?
Was it an option in the past?

I'm planning to make the rear windows on our Clubman Estate heated.
An aftermarket kit for a saloon's rear window exists. Maybe I can adapt that for two small estate windows?
Alternatively I'm thinking towards an electric 12V heater-blower.
Any idea's?

My van back windows never steam up as they are a million miles away from thenhot end.

Fair space to heat up with a little blow air fan I must say..

I would also query the wiring to the rear window.

Just spend the cash on something else.

also looks like it's mains voltage, not sure how much it would do with 12v running through it

maybe something like this https://www.holden.c..._heater_12_volt

I don't remember their ever being factory fitted rear window heater glass on the Mini Van/Traveller/Countryman/Clubman.

There is an aftermarket heated glass set available for the Morris Minor Traveller's so i am surprised there isn't a kit for the Mini Estates....perhaps the market demand is just too small to be economic.

The self-adhesive 'Smiths' heated rear window elements from the 1970's used to also be available as a 2-part version for Mini van and Traveller/Countryman/Clubman but not seen any in recent years. The saloon versions sometimes appear as new old stock for sale on ebay:-

Was the roof vent on early vans supposed to be for rear widow demist as well as airflow?

Thanks for all inputs.

While searching further, I came acros an old Sales Bulletin, which mentions "Smiths RWH14 Twin rear window heater".

I just don't know if it's worth the efforts or I should just leave it. I have not driven in cold/wet weather yet.
Maybe better to wait and experience...
If needed, I will mount some kind of blower with hose(s) near the rear windows.
