Type 4 Tandem Master Brake Cylinder

Ah so it stays fived to the pedal and pulled through inside the car. I wonder why they designed it that way! Thanks saves me trying to separate it.

Hi again. I've now moved onto removing this type of brake cylinder with servo (not done this type before). Got it all off the baulk head but I'm now puzzled on how the linkage is fixed to the brake pedal. I was expecting a split pin or something similar but it doesn't appear to be anything like that. Any guesses what holds the clevis pin in? Photo is through the baulk head under the bonnet.

I believe it is a riveted (i.e semi permanent) fixing between the pedal and the linkage not a separable clevis pin/split pin - been a while since I took mine out though. 

 

Basically keep the pedal and the first part of the linkage together unless absolutely necessary to separate them and then you would need to drill it out and find a suitable replacement
