Hello people, Been a long time since last on here. 5 years ago started resto on mini, a year into it we moved house. I've now finished diy and started on the Mini again, obviously forgot where a lot of things go!!
Could anybody post a picture of wires that show the piggyback starter solenoid, coil and distributor??
There is several white and white/black tracer wires and no idea where they go

Thanks Ian

By piggyback solenoid do you mean it's a pre-engaged starter where the solenoid is a smaller cylinder alongside the motor?

You only need a connection (yellow/white) to the ignition if it's a ballasted system.  The solenoid feeds 12v to the extra spade terminal internally when the motor is engaged, so you need a normal, unballasted, feed from it to the coil's +ve terminal. The ballasted supply (pink/white) can either be on the same solenoid terminal as that  wire or the +ve at the coil.

...It's the one marked "Yellow", Red/Brown is what makes it crank (starter relay output)
