thanks for the replys, well im going to have to a really dark blue, with carbon arches and black roof, black door handles and black mirrors, Eventually i want to do a DOHC conversion...........in about 2 years :-
The car has always been kept in a garage and has only done 52 K on the clock......and that not around and 52K which is good! No work has been done on it before i got it, and its always been with one owner, who sadly passed away... When i got it running for the first time it felt great as it hadn't been ran for 2 years before i got it, and i looked like it too!!!
So, they are the plans, and hope to get to some shows when its all done so some of you can have a look

Ian

Nah thats fine, keep the questions coming! Its a cellulose paint mixed 50-50 with thinners. The colour is Flame Red. And the roof is stock white.
Then i rubbed it back with 1500 wet and dry, then 2000. You have to keep it really wet though. Then using a mopping tool went over with G3 and just came up!

If you have anymore questions please ask :shifty:

More pics to come! :genius:

Did you get much ******* in the finish as I noticed that your mate who sprayed the roof didn't have paper overalls on, I did my sons front end once and forgot to
put them on and the gun just sucked the cr*p out of my clothing and deposited it on my finish, I had to rub it all down and do it again this time no ******* at all and came
out pretty good.

nope, didn't have any problems. Just chose a nice warm day with no wind and plastic lined the whole garage. The only dodgy bit is where a 'angel' floated and i didn't see it and sprayed it into the roof! Dont notice it though. Just line everywhere, not just the roof.
But yer, needs a little more work yet, prob some more mopping to get it sweet.

Thanks for the comments

No, doesn't need it. The pics dont do it any justice, also, it hasnt been washed, waxed, or polished. (and the pics were taken at night :))

Will have more to come, shouldn't be long untill i have it running again. Just need to fit the carb.

Thank, Ian
