Hi all, I'm at the headliner stage on the restoration of Gary a 1977 1275gt.
I'm trying to keep him as period correct as possible and was hoping someone can shed some light on what head liner it would have had from factory as when I got Gary he had no headliner or sunvisors.

As i say im not sure if it should be perforated or none perforated, Cream, grey, white or perhaps even the crackle one so any help would be very much appreciated. also im not sure if the colour of the rest of the interior makes any difference so please see photo for reference

Thank,
Bobby

One piece, white & perforated I think. There might be some info in the Moss or Somerford online parts catalogues.

I had a new 80 1275gt I remember it was grey. My now 75 gt has always been grey. I don’t know if both cars being black would have had grey headlining.

Thinking back to minis I had back in the day. I had a T reg Inca yellow clubby, with black velour seats. I can't recall; any headliners being other than white in the 70's.

edit: Maybe they were, but so light I never though of 'em as such.

There's also all these brochures, but I doubt head linings will feature heavily.

Piccy from a poo brown saloon with the same seat cloth. Wouldn't rely on it being original though.

Tatty enough to be original, but where is the sundym glass?

My wife's 1981 mini city had the perforated head lining, but I don't remember it being fitted to any 1970's mini clubman or GT.
I seem to remember all 1970's mini saloons having the same textured headline which looked cream to me but I think it was classed as grey.

I had one where the sound deadening fell off & stained it. I think that was perforated, maybe that's distorting my memory.

Sound deadening pads falling off and staining the headlining was a regular problem, along with going yellow all around the edges from the adhesive.

Hi Bobby. Not of any help to you, but what are those carpets? Really liking the fact that they are edged.  Looking to replace ours and they look just the ticket.

Daz.

Got them from P&L...Heratage concourse carpets. They were a bit of a pain to fit, but I think they all are.
