Trying to find size of rear number plate for innocenti boot lid so I can get a number plate sorted before getting boot lid, currently mid restoration that’s why. So looking at ABS motorsport double skin boot lid. Their website does sort of have sizes but hard to see. If anyone looks at listing you’ll know what I mean. I think it’s 20.5cm by either 36cm or 34cm. If anyone has exact measurement I’d be really appreciative. TIA

Hey Benito,

there are two sizes used by Innocenti. Early had smaller and later larger numberplates.

early should be 20x28 cm HxW

later should be 20x34 cm

I recall that when I was restoring my Innocenti a few years ago it had a bent boot-lid and I managed to source a replacement, but when I got it the plate aperture was smaller. In the end, I removed the panel from the structure and straightened it, then fitted it to a Mk 2 Mini boot-lid from which I had removed the skin. Mine was a 1973 Innocenti1300 Cooper Export.

Hi, thanks so much for your reply, I had heard about the two different sizes. It’ll be 34cm for the one I’m looking at then that’s absolutely perfect. Couldn’t find these two sizes anywhere so fantastic bit of knowledge, really appreciate it!

Would it be similar to an Australian Mini Boot Lid ?

I can measure one later when in the workshop.

Thanks for the offer, enne reply was spot on, I think innocentis are different to Aussie ones.
