Hi everyone, my 2000 MPI cooper sport requires the feed and return hoses tothe fuel rail replacing as they are somewhat perished. One end has the quickfit connector and the other end goes into a hard line to the fuel rail. Both lines are colour coded orange and green. These hoses are no longer available, tried all the mini places. Somerford has the green but the orange hose is no longer available. What options do I have? Can I simply cut the old rubber hose off and replace with new injection hose and clamp it to the hardline as the original lines are crimped? Thoughts please. Neil

Try local hydraulic hose suppliers sure they will be able to match hoses and sizes.

Maybe even a bulk buy could help others on here in similar situation as mum's become older and fuels change constantly.

Hi @ybrig1 - Would you be able to post a picture of these hoses you describe?
I also have a 2000 mini which I've recently been reunited with after several years and I am in the process of replacing items prone to fail due to age. I am VERY far from any mini parts suppliers (I am in Northwest Mexico) so I need to be proactive in addressing these sorts of issues.
Thank you

Try giving South Lakes Minis a call, I managed to get a pair for my ‘98 JDM maybe 6 months ago. They’re Spi but the only difference is the profile of the hard section.

However … the originals are not ethanol resistant and having a new set made up with the correct modern hose might be a better solution.
