Ive just put the mini in for a service and MOT for the Job, (part of the entry conditions). I will let you guys know what happens.


-On the weeked I was at my cousin's (Jamies aka Spoonz) and we fixed an exhaust bracket, bumpstop, switch panel and the seat extenders (thanks to Jamies dad!!!) that were wobbly. So hopefully there wont be much to do! Crossed fingers!!! :grin:

The car was MOT'ed and Serviced. A few problems were found:

Horn inoperative = New stalk
Clonking noise = Offside rear shock absorber replaced (Bush in shock had gone)
Throttle cable stiff = Cable re-routed
Noisy Engine = Tappets done


As Dave is such a nice guy he agreed to Sponsor us for the Italian Job run in exchange for a discount on the servicing!!!! Spot-on Cars stickers will be on the mini for the run.


So if anyone is in the Hertfordshire area then I can thouroughly recommend Spot-on Cars!

I picked it up today and I'm well chuffed!

Passed the MOT, Top quality service and its all been fully checked by the expert Dave!

I also went to see Dave Horne at Spot-On-Mini's a few weeks ago to get a quote to repair the dents on my offside door and wing.

He actually used to work where I work now, although he left quite a few years before I started.

But I agree, Dave’s a really nice guy & I'd definitely recommend him.

Having said that, I also got a quote from Dr Bob (also seems like a top bloke) at The Mini Hospital in Northampton & he’s gonna do the work on my Mini next month.
