Hi all, i have a 1995 1275 mini 35 which has a issue with starting, it wouldnt star and when i put the choke on or press the accelorator the engine turn over makes a deeper sound, i was told its the fuel filter which i have bought one but cannot find where it is in the car, its not on the rear subframe? i tooke the float chamber off and cleaned the inside then the car started fine with no issues for a couple of days then nack to non starting, i have just tried it now and it started ok?? any ideas

If your car is carburettor fuelled then I don't think it would have had a fuel filter as standard

Yes, no fuel filter fitted as standard.

Also I never fitted or owned a mini with a fuel filter in 30 years and never had an issue.

How old is the fuel? Try some fresh
