I've just edited this orignal post as the answer was answered and I didn't want to start a new thread. Initially I asked the depth required of the idler bearing.
But now I've measured my idler bearing washers they're measuring at
0.1289 and 0.1288" with a 0.009" end float.
My gasket is 0.040 .
I will be getting thicker washers.
Would it be normal for the thrusts to wear so much? The gear box has done 100k miles.
(DAM5914) seems to be 131 thou ish new, so i guess if these were used from new it would make sense.
Thanks Babs
