Hmmm, interesting that they have listed late non sportspack MPIs as non Cooper. I thought that they were all Coopers except for special editions. If you look closely they wheel centres say Cooper on bath!

Let’s be honest, they don’t know their arse from their elbow.
To them it’s just a brand.
I remember going to look at a BMW Cooper S in a BMW MINI showroom in 2001. I turned up in my Mk1, and the dealer said he loved the classic mini and he bought a nice 1960 to use an an advertising tool, but BMW head office told him no, he can’t use it, they do not want to hark back to the original.
How times change. The product is sh1te, and they need every tool in the book to sell their “product”.
I know there loads of BINI drivers on here, but check out all the hundreds of YouTube videos which show the absolute ******* show the BMW Mini is compared to other similar vehicles.
Chops garage who sells many second hand vehicles had a great video recently and said most used car dealers won’t touch them, as they are so badly built and are a money pit.

Except that the latest Mini across all powertrain derivatives is supposedly the most fault free car on the market.

What a result, it only took BMW 25 years to finally produce a fault free car…give them a medal!

However it’s still as ugly as f|_|ck.

To add to that, a good friend is an AA patrol and he said he goes to lot of BMW Minis, more than other manufacturers, some are fairly new with bad faults.

Well I can only speak about my own experience about reliability of bmw minis-my R53 cooper S has been running a shade under 200bhp since just after I bought it 8 years ago, only thing that it’s needed apart from general service items has been a n/s driveshaft.
Most reliable car I’ve ever owned, although I just might be lucky lol

The Mk2 R56 MINI's with PSA Peugeot/Citroen engines are not great for reliability....

However my 2002 Mk1 MINI R50 with a Chrysler Tritec engine and Rover gearbox is still going strong and passing MOT's with no faults or rust!

The later Mk3 F56 MINIs with BMW engines seem to be pretty reliable though, with MINI now even beating Lexus in the latest What Car? Reliability Survey:-
