    One Carb Or Two?

I'm going to fit 10 inch wheels to my 1989 mini 30, I know I need to get the conversion kit for the brakes first.
Regarding the wheel, I'm looking at JBW minilight in the 5x10 offset 12.
My car currently has 5 x 12s with offset of 14, so the JBW wheels will sit out 2mm further.
I have group 2 arches, narrow type, and the front wheels sit nicely under the arches but the rears could do with sitting out a bit more, in my opinion.
I don't want 6 x 10 as they'll stick out loads.
Can I fit the 5x10 and use say a 8-10mm spacer on the rears if I like or is that not a good option?
Any feedback is appreciated.

I would be more concerned about what tyres you plan to use as that will give the same result whatever rim you use.

Put your specs into this https://www.willtheyfit.com/ and compare.

5 or 6s will have the same result on the 10s, Just a slight difference in sidewall shape.

The 6 x 10 wheel has an offset of minus 7. They'd stick out 33mm more than my current wheels

8-10mm thick spacers on the rear are not a problem as long as you also fit suitable length longer studs where required. Probably best to buy and fit the 5 x 10 wheels/tyres you want and once they are on the car you can decide exactly what the nearest thickness of available spacers will achieve your desired look.

Yes probably the best approach.
My current 5x12 with 14 offset the 165 60 12 tyred sit just proud of my front group 2 arches, rears are just inside. If I go for 5 x10 with 12 or 14 offset they'll sit around the same I guess
