Doing a brake conversion from 8.4 to 7.5. I have new braided hoses, but, are they hard to replace? I don't mind bending up the inner wing a bit if needed on the OS. It looks to me like they are pushed through the subframe, then secured with a nut each side and then the brake pipe is screwed into the hose, is that correct?

The calipers need screwing onto the hoses after fitting to the subframe,I think the hoses are handed also.Fiddly but doable.Steve..

Hoses should be fitted to the calipers FIRST. Then fitted to the subframe and adjusted to give the correct bend before doing up the nut.
expect to have to change the metal pipes and remember many of the braided hoses are handed. If fitted to the wrong side the fitting can bottom out before sealing.

Make sure you have everything before ripping it all apart. New flexi retainer bolts for subframe mounts. New copper washers for caliper fittings. New fluid. All bleed nipples are loose. Brakemcleaner at hand to save the paint and an awful mess that may happen...
Also an open ended 11mm spanner or brake flare spanners work well but not necessary.. just makes job easier.
Make sure not to cross thread any flares...leads you to head ache central..
