I am trying to fit a rev counter. I have a 12v feed, black and white wire from -ve coil, earth and illumination feed. There is another terminal on the guage, which I have not used. The guage reads 1000 rpm at tickover but will not go above 1500/2000 when reving/driving. Am I missing something? The guage is the 80mm type with the moveable red line.

It could be this tacho isn't compatible with electronic ignition but I can't find a wiring diagram that would help. Terminal 1 might need to be connected to something but I don't know what!

Just tried a different google search and found this ... looks like '1' is connected to distributor and + is a separate live feed (fused).

But do your own checks/searches as I've not touched a VB tacho ...

Connecting it incorrectly could blow the electronics on the dizzy and/or the tacho.
