Hello

I bought a new head stud set from MiniSpares to my 850 engine. The thread is longer than on the original and it can't be screw in whole depth.

Could this be an isssue ?

Not an issue, just make sure there is nothing stopping it.

things to check. You can still fit and tighten the head, ie the thread does not stop above head surface.

i would also relieve (countersunk) the top of the stud holes which stops any thread coming proud and help which gasket sealing.

The stud stops in that position on picture. The hole in the block is deeper than the thread length on the stud, but it doesn't have thread all the way down,

When I've had studs that fit up like that because of thread depth, as long as the fitted stud length isn't an issue, I cut the threads deeper in the block.
