I have a problem with my VERTO clutch, fitted new clutch plate, release bearing arm etc. while engine was out. Now in the car engine runs but have a strange knocking from clutch area and when I push the clutch pedal down the engine stains and stalls. Car is on stands with no wheels on. Any ideas tia

The engine mount bolts could be hitting the clutch,have you correctly adjusted the throwout nuts.Easy and cheap first.Steve..
