Hello,

Recently changed my clutch pedal.  It's a 1968, so bought a square one from Nippy Cars.  Here's the original.  Sometime in its life, it's been drilled out to 10mm, presumably as it elongated the original hole.  I've heard people weld them up and re-drill.  What's the best way to save this one?  get a 10mm bar in the hole and weld round then grind flat?  Here's a few pic of it with the standard clevis pin.

just weld the hole in, like you're doing a really fat plug weld,  then redrill  that's what I did anyway

welding a bit of bar in means you then have to get really good penetration all round and the gap will be some fraction of a millimeter wide but like 4mm deep, it's not ideal.  you'll probably drill it and a chunk will fall out
