I just had the engine out of my 1994 SPI and had the crank reground etc. I replaced the engine wiring harness at the same time.

Now when I try to start, there is no fuel injection. I have sprayed ether down its throat and it fires for a few seconds, so  it appears to be OK ignition wise, but there is nothing coming out of the injector.

Any ideas what I could have done, or what to check?

check or renew the crancshaft sensor its just below the starter. Do you have an immobilizer, then check this too and last not least what about the emergency switch on the wall behind the  clutch and brake masters?

Fixed it! I knew it had to be me... I connected the fuel lines backwards on the injector. Also the fuel pump relay had a bad connection inside that needed soldering.

Thanks Genpop, I checked the crank position sensor, and the emergency switch. It doesn't have an immobilizer, but as I say above, I got it fixed!
