Hi guys

I finally treat myself to the CSI dizzy with 16 different curves.

I'm thinking number 15 (second line from top) would be the most suitable

9.2Cr
1098+ 40
Hs4 AAM
Evo001 cam
12g202 lightly cleaned up. 40 thou skim only

What do you guys think?

Cheers

I am thinking none of those, likely more like 27 to 28 degrees max advance at sea level, and 20 degrees at 2000rpm. Use a dyno to hone in on the exact full power timing. Also use a strobe to confirm the actual timing when I the engine.

I wanted to buy a CSI distributor for my 1098 build but the Rolling Road man (John Nutt) advised against as the setting my dizzy needed was not any of the ones available with the CSI dizzy. Instead I sent my dizzy off to H&H Ignition and John told them what curve to set it at. Spot on. The curve mod and conversion of my dizzy to electronic was less than £90.

Thanks gents.
Indeed @ whistler, AC also confirmed the same
Appreciate the help guys. To be honest I should just be happy with what I have I think. The standard dizzy was giving 20 deg at 2k and 30 deg at 4k. The car runs really nice. Maybe I should be more realistic with power expectations of power.
R&R seem to have a good reputation. I'll look into those. I'd choose AC for a dizzy but he's understandably too busy at the moment.

Cheers again, popping back over to minispares tomorrow to return the unit. Thank goodness I didn't take it out the box.
