We have different levels of petrol in the UK - I stick 95 RON unleaded (91 octane equivalent) in the car and use lead substitute.
20/50 mineral is the oil to use, don't use synthetic in an A Series.

What gearbox is important as well.
you don’t want 20-50 in an auto.

If you search this question you will find many MANY threads on it.
Being that you are in the injection forum, I alum your car was meant to use unleaded fuel, so no need to add lead. Go with a higher octane.
For oil, 20/50 and I am assuming you have a manual. This has been discussed over and over. The owners manual should be ignored on this. My personal recommendation for oil is Driven GP-1 20/50. This was recommended by engine builder/tuner Keith Calver awhile ago when I rebuilt my 1275 (now 1310) SPi. I recently had the motor out and took the opportunity to go through it all and see how it was fairing as I needed to have a flywheel balanced and machinist needed the crank. He actually asked what oil I was using as the bearings looked mint after 25k. Not that they shouldn't but he said stick with whatever you are using as its clearly quality.
The key is to ensure the oil you use has the correct amount if zinc (ZDDP). This is essential for all push rod/flat tappet motors. If not, you will wear down your cam.
