Thought I would try and post whilst the forum was working.

As above but I have removed and checked the stalk and all appears working - assume it is just an earth switch and the wipers/pump have their own ignition live feed?.  They were working previously but have done quite a lot of engine and wiring work since then so have clearly done something to stop them working!!

I have checked all fuses and even the connectors on the hot side and they are all live so no issue with the fuses.  But there does not appear to be any live to the pump or wiper motor - I have removed the connectors and could not find a live in the wiper motor connector block.

I have the Haynes manual so will have a look at the wiring diagrams but suspect some of you will have had a similar issue and if so what was it or what do you recommend to track down.

Seems odd that neither the pump or wipers work and no live in the wiper motor connector block?  Open to thoughts :-)

Thanks

There should be a couple of ignition (accessory, 1st position) fed lives. One at the stalk & one to the park switch on the motor.

The earths are downstream of the motors and the park switch also earths the +ve side of wiper motor (low speed) so it doesn't run on.

The heater blower should be on the same fuse.

Thanks - the heater and instruments/lighting all still work fine.  Need to get the wiring diagram out and start more thorough testing.  Must be the 12v supply that's broken somewhere in the engine bay but strange that it's both the wiper motor and washer pump which unless they share the 12v supply would suggest it's wiper arm but that's the earthing which was the confusing bit!

I thought it might have blown a fuse, not uncommon for a faulty park switch. If the heater blower is still working it shouldn't be that, but it could be the spade connector at the fusebox. My hunch is it's a loose wire on the stalk. They're all light green/orange wires & should have continuity with everything   on the wash/wipe, with the stalk in the appropriate positions, except the light green/brown. It's the supply to the stalk via the park switch.

Having studied the wiring diagrams in detail I went out this morning and the bloody wipers and washer pump worked!  Suspect it was a loose connection or dirty switch which sorted itself out as I was investigating and checking the wiring loom - a bit like this forum!!

Thanks for the input - another circuit learnt in detail!
