Ebay Engine Stand

I've never used an engine stand before so thought I'd treat myself for this build.

yes but when i did my 998 i had to make something to bolt the engine to.

I bought an engine stand from Machine Mart, but got a plate from Ebay as I couldn't weld at the time, nor had the materials to make a new plate up. Think it cost me £20 at the time but it was a few years ago...
I think most of them are built to a specific size in the same factory and then given brand stickers depending on where they are being sold.

So the plate which comes with the stand is not suitable for a mini engine?
Where did you get the A+ plate?
no it came with this yellow thing with four adjustable arms needing long bolts. They worked with the land rover engine bolting onto the flywheel back end but not really suitable for the mini. The plate also came from ebay

What are the welded on nuts for on the back of the plate?

The oil filter head mounting face and alternator bracket mounting faces are not at the same height and spacers are needed.
