I am currently shopping around for a set of tires. Currently on A032R (i know they are the best but wear out quickly), and I am looking for alternatives because the price increase is a bit much for me.

Looking into A008 or falkens 165/70/10

I see there is also the dunlops sp sport aqua jet and R7 but no idea, they are expensive but do they last? and do they grip?

Mostly road use, little rain here and there.

Many years ago, bitter experience taught me that soft tyres and grip was less expensive than hard tyres and accidents.

Blockley 165/70 x 10 tyres are quite highly rated for wear and grip on the Mk1 forum:-

You might also find this magazine Mini tyre test linked below from 2006 of interest.

I don’t think Falken make 10” tyres any more, the supply is drying up

The A008’s are a good option

I’ve recently bought a set of Nankang Eco2 165/70R10 and so far they’ve been better than the last set of A008 for moderate road driving
