Hi All,

I'm pulling my hair out with these 3 loose wires. They come out of the loom behind the dials of my 1995 mini Sprite.

Single wire, green with orange stripe ending in a square terminal

Single wire, white with a black stripe ending in a spherical terminal

Two wires, purple with an orange stripe and yellow with a purple stripe

If anyone can point me in the right direction with any of these I would be hugely grateful. I inherited this mini and have been trying to put it back together and thes three have me totally stumped.

Many thanks!

1. I believe that it is light green & orange (Mini uses light green and dark green wires). In the schematic diagrams that I have I found only one wire with that color combination. It is the wire that goes from the 15 Amp fuse (location in fuse box: A8) to the blower assembly.

2, The engine management system is using some black&white wires. One of those go to a module called "instrument pack", but I'm not sure what they mean by that. This "instrument pack" has two wires: a white&black one, and a green&blue one. Maybe you can locate it by the color of this second wire?

3. I'm not sure what this third pair of wires is. Purple&orange indicates that it is a wire from a fuse to an accessory (e.g. radio, clock, etc). But I can't find the yellow&purple wire in the schematics I have.

From memory on mine, check the diagrams.

Single wire, green with orange stripe ending in a square terminal - Tachometer but could be "WASH WIPE, HEATER, INSTRUMENT, AUXILIARY COOLING FAN AUTOMATIC GEARBOX SELECTOR ILLUMINATION"

Single wire, white with a black stripe ending in a spherical terminal - Tachometer

Two wires, purple with an orange stripe and yellow with a purple stripe - This is the little flashing LED for the alarm
