I have just bought this cover to replace the 1 year old Mini Spares waterproof cover that doesn't seem to be working quite as well as it used to.

I have a garage, but it's full of other stuff and I couldn't easily get the Mini in/out, so I prefer to have it on the driveway. I noticed this contraption and that someone was using one for a classic mini. I gambled in hoping the CE would fit, and although the cover touches the rear lights/gutter and the edge of the bonnet, it actually just about fits.

It was only £200 and you can buy replacement covers for £95. It will certainly do for now. Hopefully this helps someone who's struggling to find a decent cover. By the way, you need to secure the cover to the ground, it's not movable once installed.

There will be condensation on the metal roof bars which will then drip over your car. I used 22mm split pipe insulation to cover the bars and that stopped the condensation and kept the car dry. I bolted mine to my concrete drive but fitted 1 inch wooden spacers under the bottom bars to increase the ventilation. My coverings would last about 2 years before the UV killed the pvc material. As you say, new covers are available.

Good advice, I will do that. I already have a gap at the front/side flaps to allow air movement, hopefully it will be good enough.
