Hello everyone,

I'm going to start putting things back on car, windows in, car door seals etc etc. I was wondering if anybody has tried putting cavity wax or similar on the inside of any seals. Like in channel of door seal before you press it onto car, thinking protection were multiple layers of steel. These sort of areas always seem to rust.

Any ideas in this area?

Thanks Ian

i'd think of very limited value for rust prevention (most rot starts from the inside of the panels).  Also; doubt it would help the seals grip to the bodywork...

Would it be better to paint  it sparingly on to the edge? Too much will get get ejected, creating a mess. I'd also be a litle worried it could wick in to the head lining

That like a silicone that would add to water tightness surely?
