Hello all,
I have a quick question about the Toeboard in a Mini (1989 Mayfair).
What would be the best course to go about welding in a new toeboard?
Would it be best to remove the rotten inner-wings first then weld the Toeboard in and attach new inner-wings, or would it be best to weld the Toeboard in (without welding it to the inner-wings) and then attach new inner-wings?
I'm not very experienced with welding, but I believe that plug welding would work best, the car is on a rotisserie.
Essentially, could anyone provide me with a rough guide on how to do it, a good video that is in depth would be brilliant, or some steps on the forum.
Many thanks,
- Matthew William Irving

I'd try to avoid cutting too much out at once so you have something as a reference to fit the new steel up against. You could knock together some jigs, out of timber to locate the really important bit - the mounting holes for the rack U-bolts.
