Been doing some work in the boot and took the lights out for ease. Gone to reinstall and I have a spare connection with 5 black wires coming out of the loom by the n/s cluster. I’m guessing it’s an earthing connection, is it simply bolted down to the cluster assembly with one of the mounting bolts?

It’s a 1990 car.

Hi,

Yes that is correct as you look at the back of the light cluster that connector ( a ring type I assume) goes to the bottom left fixing point on our 1988 car.

Make sure you have a good contact between the connector and the body panel.

Hi Paddy

It is a ring type, sorry I left that bit out. Thank you for the help and advice, appreciated!
