Q. 1. As per title, Are the brackets pre- 76 and for the years 76 - 95 interchangeable - i.e. will earlier brackets fit later cars and their outer column tubes? I imagine so.
Q.2. Earlier brackets seem to be as good and simpler; Or Is their any advantage to later brackets? 
My bracket had been cut and badly deformed into by previous owner, and better to change it rather than try to fix. 
Anyway, I'm on the look out for one, so I'll mention that here too, because it may reach a donor better than the 'wanted' section.
