I mentioned in a previous post that I'm using a friend to do a series of repairs and upgrades to Marvin, and Alex/Al being one of them 'young 'uns' creates a YouTube video of many of the more interesting projects.
The arthritis in my hands now prevents me from doing most of the maintenance and repairs Marvin needs so it's reassuring to find someone that I can trust.
His work at Vaudrey Classic Car Solutions is mainly in classic cars and modern classics and his regular updates have been reassuring. He gives me regular photo updates and calls.
The main project was to fit a new HIF44 carb supplied by the fabulous @ACDodd and when he'd fitted it together with a fuel pressure regulator, he took Marvin for a quick test drive on the privates lanes around him.
He was quite surprised by the performance from the 1380cc engine.
The video of the carb change/upgrade should be posted this week and I think he may include the video of fitting a KAD Quick Shift (which proved problematic) and other performance goodies.
If you're in that part of the country get in touch with him if you need any help or work carrying out. He's real old school and his portfolio has included Astons, Porsches, Alfas, Jaaags, TVRs and the list goes on.
I hope some of you find this useful.
