'Hill' is a new feature length documentary which combines real-life on track drama with a powerfully moving personal story and interviews with Damon and wife Georgie. Now showing on the Sky Documentaries channel and well worth watching if you have access to the channel.

Hill | Official Trailer | Sky
"What does it take to become a Formula 1 World Champion when your father is already a legend?
Hill is the gripping new documentary that follows Damon Hill’s journey through tragedy, pressure, and some of the most iconic moments in F1 history."

This BBC interview with Damon about the film, on youtube, includes some family photos of him as a young child with Graham Hill's Mk1 Mini.

Note the magic wand gear lever extension!

I watched the documentary.  I was surprised they did not mention any of his racing career before being a test driver at Williams for example, when he was driving in F1 at Brabham, and seeing Mansell win at Silverstone in '92.

A certain amount of the documentary appeared to be critical of Williams, Frank and Patrick.  It appeared Hill resented them for not giving him the support he thought he deserved.

Hill did come across as a determined and driven person, although I was never a fan of his when he raced.  Watching the documentary, you see a lot of his unforced errors, which must have eroded trust within the team.
