According to DVLA that plate number is already taken, it looks like it was bought at an auction. Personally I would never buy a ex works car, at best you are buying a logbook and in this case it seems not even that.

I've studied the Works cars over the years and most of them ended up as 'bitsa' cars. Bits of this one, bits of that one.....
Other and 33 EJB in Gaydon, I suspect there are few genuine/original Works cars left.
Does anyone remember the restoration of GRX310D? It was featured in one of the classic cars mags, probably 30+ years ago.

The Works Minis History:-
https://mk1-forum.ne...wforum.php?f=36
The late Robert Young of the MCR wrote the definitive reference book 'The Works Minis in Detail' the result of many years of research by him and an essential read for any Mini enthusiast interested in the Works Minis.
"Robert Young's book covers each one of the 77 cars which, in their distinctive red and white paintwork, were a force be reckoned with wherever they competed. Build details of every car are provided, drawn from factory build sheets, with information also on when cars were reshelled and identities swapped. The details of the events entered and the drivers are the result of analysing hundreds of contemporary race and rally reports.
The result is the most in-depth study of the works Minis ever published, made possible by years of research by Robert Young, a lifelong Mini enthusiast. As the Mini Cooper Register’s Ex-works Registrar, Club Chairman and for many years archivist, he was well placed to write with authority. A proud owner himself, he had intimate knowledge of the little red cars."
