Hi guys

I was set to replace Mt diff this week but unfortunately it was the wrong tooth profile.

Minispares sell brand new straight cut crownwheels and matching pinnion gear. Has anyone fitted one to a standard box?

If so are they loud? I imagine they will get louder as the speed picks up.

I don't mind the noise, so I'm more curious than anything

Thanks Spider why is that? Purely for the noise or are they more fragile?

Just the way they choose to manufacture them and what gear cutting machines they have, some may have a pressure angle (at the tooth) of 14 degrees, and others at 22, different DP Modules that produce a finer or courser tooth, machine finished, ground, burnished etc all have an effect on the sound they make, but they are quite noisy.
