I've lifted them many times with my forklift.
Assuming the car is complete and you are coming in from the side, you need to get the fork that's closest to the front on the car as close as you can to the back of the front wheels, the CG is only just back from that maybe 100 - 150 mm, so it will be light on the tail.
In order to do a lift like this with no damage I ran 4 x 2 timbers (on flat) under each side of the floor, from the wheel arches in the front to the heel board in the back. Depending on what exhaust etc has been fitted and how it's been hung, the gear shifter etc, you might need more than just the 2" that the 4 x 2 will give.
