Hi all
Any help on this would be appreciated. 1996 mpi mini. Everything was going fine, for a change but a couple of weeks ago I washed it and towel dried it as normal went to get in it the next day and the clock had stopped, stereo won’t power up at all and I have no hazards or indicators.

I’ve checked all the earth points and all seem fine, also checked the hazard switch and flasher relay and also seems fine. Checked all the relays under the bonnet and all the fuses in the footwell box and again all seem ok. I’ve trolled the internet for anyone with a similar problem but to no avail

HELP PLEASE!!!

Everything you list is on fuse c4 which also feeds the interior light and brake test light. What condition is your scuttle panel in, water has been known to get through to the stereo.

So just did a double check and it does seem to have blown fuse c4 any hints where to start looking? The radio was fine and only blew the fuse again when I turned the indicator on.

Check the indicator wiring and earthing as that's when the fuse blew

Logically you have introduced water into the indicator units front rear or both when you washed it, as that 8s when the problems started.
