Hi, I have been looking at all of the usual mini parts sites in the UK, but I'm struggling to find a 12A408 thermostat housing for my mini 850 1963 mk1, it was also used in Mokes and Minors I believe.  Does anyone know where to obtain one as the only place I can see them for sale is Australia.  If I cannot find one I may need to try a repair using epoxy putty and reshape it, has anyone had success this way.

Try some of the Austin A30/A35 restoration shops as well as Morris Minor parts suppliers.

It was only fitted in very small numbers to the Mini range, I think the early 850 Super Deluxe and very early 997 Cooper.

Failing that, you can always bring one in from Australia !

Thanks, I have looked at the ones online in Australia, still hoping to get one here, I will have to do a temporary repair while I look. Cheers Spider

You could also go for bling S-can one if you'd like something more local;-

That's very nice, and very reasonably priced, but being a mk1 Super Deluxe I am trying to keep it looking as stock as I can.  Thanks for the info
