Knuckle Joints Wont Fit Into Top Arms

Best Answer Bobbins , Yesterday, 06:19 PM

You’re trying with two cups …

Remove the cup from the joint or remove the one you have in the top arm. Go to the full post

Hey I'm having a technical issue trying to get the knuckle joints fitted to the top arm. I have the arms out on the table, and I pressed in the cups. I understand that the cups act as a lip for the boot to catch on.

But my issue is that I cannot get the joints pressed in, there is no space when the cup is in there. I tried a heat gun to soften the plastic, but that had no effect. Am I missing something obvious here?

I bought these knuckles

Attached are a couple images

it may not be immediately obvious, new knuckles come with one pre-fitted.  the replacement cups are if you want to keep the old knuckle

I'll be honest I nearly did exactly the same, ordered new knuckles and new cups, then realised when checking fitment

Well you are totally right, The kit came with spare cups, so I assumed incorrectly they were needed. Appreciate this thank you.
