I have a friend who is not a forum member, but she has asked me to see if I can sell her Mini for her.

It is a 1973 Teal Blue 850 Automatic with a genuine 38,000 miles on it.

It's rust free and in great condition.

She is looking for offers in the region of £14,000 for what is a very genuine and unmolested original car.

I have loads of pictures and if you are interested, please PM me with your email address and I can send you loads of photo and her email address so that you can deal directly with her.
The car is located about 5 miles north of Hitchin in a village called Clifton.

850 Automatics are now a very rare Mini, especially in good low mileage condition, so it deserves to be kept in original condition and spec....and definitely not converted to manual as so many have been over the years.

It might also be worth mentioning the sale on the 'Automatic Mini Register' forum:-

Thanks, I've just done that.

It really is a lovely car and it would be a pity to use the super bodyshell to create a screaming 1275 cc manual from it. It's just so totally original and clean.

I want an auto for the Mrs, as she hates manuals. Bit out of my price range, shame as it's the right colour too (she loves blue)

I’m sure it’s lovely, and I know this is a for sale section and not a valuation section, but it’s going to have be mint to be worth £14k for an 850 auto, as that’s strong money for a private sale. Hard to judge without photos. Why don’t you post some photos up?

Good luck!

As I said, it's not mine, but I know the owner and can confirm that it is in beautiful condition.

I have advised her that it may be on the expensive side and she has said that she will consider taking around £11,000 for it.

I do have loads of pictures and if anyone is genuinely interested, please send me a PM with your email address and I'll send them immediately.

The car is located near Hitchin in Herts.
