I was wondering if there ever was a driveshaft where one could use the bigger Allegro CV with pot joints? I see on minispares you can use them with the hardy spicer type driveshaft. I was just wondering.

These CVs just don't seem to last long - converted to discs this spring - all new hardware for that - have an issue where my CV starts to click on/off throttle and slowly worsens to in turns as well. already gone through a set!

The outer CV end is the same whatever driveshafts you use.

and as pointed out below you do need the correct driveshafts due to the different splines.

Allegro CVs need a special shaft as the splines are larger.

As far as I am aware no one produes a pot joint shaft with the All-aggro splines on the outer end. There's be littel point as it would just shift the weak point of the shaft.

It is a very old school mod that is rarely done these days, even in top tarmac rally cars that were known for breaking shafts.
