Hi could anyone guide me please about how to find out the manufacturing date of my Mini Mayfair 1984 for the Historic Vehicle registration purposes. Thanks

if you want to know the manufacture date you'd need to apply for a Heritage certificate

out of interest, what does your V5 show as the first registration date ?  if it's any time in 1984 then you can apply for Historic tax class based on that

I don't think BL/Rover ever did show a month and year on their various ID plates in the UK (see selection below). 

However my 2002 BMW R50 MINI built in Oxford does show the month and year of manufacture on an ID plate under the bonnet, so maybe it was a later requirement or just BMW policy to do so?

Unfortunately I don't think Heritage have the production records for 1984 Minis. (see list below)

 

Mini 1959-69 ADO 15 versions - Austin, Morris, Mini Cooper
Mini 1977-1981 ADO 20 versions badged Mini (Longbridge build only not Seneffe)
