I purchased a evo limited slip diff diff from mini spares

the gears and shaft broke inside after 8 events

pulling 120 hp 7500 rpm

made a mess of the gearbox

fortunately every thing is ok

was running 3.71 mini spares straight cut

can u get parts for this or just go back to the salsbury diff

Sorry to hear this. Did you check your main/rod bearings and oil pump?

I don't think that you can get any spares from Minispares apart from a kit of clutch plates, but best to contact them direct. There is an alternative. MED market an NXG plate type diff.

I have used both in a 140bhp circuit racer without issue over many years.

What use was the differential experiencing when it broke ? Road, race, rally, autotest etc ?

I'm sure if you wrote to Mini Spares, they'll be able to sort you out.

Scary....
Not something I would like to experience. Perhaps Minispares is willing to compensate and so appreciated if they do but kind of hard to compensate for such a disaster and that amount of work it involves.

This is not filling me with confidence 😁
I just bought one of these but not run it yet.
Apparently a tran X copy so I was presuming good 🤔

Parts supplied for competition use do not usually carry a warranty since the use and abuse cannot be quantified. An LSD is considered a 'competition use product'.
