I have the original hinges from a 1990, 56k miles mini, which is being painted following extensive restoration of the bodywork.
There's a lot of play in the moving part ( attached to boot lid).
I know there needs to be a bit, to allow for the angle it sits at changing whilst opening it but has anyone carried out a hinge pin repair/replacement or even bushed it, a la Mk1/2 door hinge repair kit?
Don't want to buy new ones, keeping it as original as possible...enough of it has been replaced anyway🤣

The hinges are handed so the angle should not change on opening,Steve..

There is no angle change. But you must use new gaskets.
