1968 Mk2 998cc Cooper with wet suspension.

Workshop manual refers to depressurising the system before removing the front hub, but Haynes doesn't seem to mention this, unless it's tucked away somewhere. First time I've done this, just want to check.

Thanks

Can't see why if the top arm is staying in place it'll be no different to a dry car.

Thanks Ethel, top arm is staying in place. The workshop manual threw me a bit unless I have misunderstood.

Yes, I've done it on mine.  You might need to jack up the top arm a little to get the hub / balljoint out.

It'll only the the right hand side that might need the arm lifted.

To help with splitting top/bottom arms I jack up the rear wheel on the same side and allow the suspension the drop. This allows the front top arm to be raised easier.
