Orignal post was reference the front panels. However on poking around I realise I need a new A post, inner Flitch and potentially scuttle end.
I can weld fine but I haven't done this repair before. Any advice is much appreciated. I could go cutting it all out but I wanted to at least leave the check panel in with holes to allow the correct alignment of the door hinges.
I'm thinking:
1. Remove rotten metal around air vents.
2. Weld in inner box panel to lower dash panel and floor
3.weld in check panel whilst bolted to inner flitch to allow holes to be in the right place
4. Cut out around inner flitch panel Then butt weld in the new inner flitch
5. Weld in the final inner A post panel on top.
Note: I've noticed that the inner flitch only goes halfway up so I'll need to make a panel to fit between inner flitch and scuttle closing panel.
Any advice is much appreciated as I don't know where to start really.
Thanks, Luke
