Hi guys

I had a lot of rust around the door pillar which pretty much crumbled around me.
I'm now left with an absolute mess.

I have bought all the panels but unfortunately the whole thing completely fell apart but luckily I have a fairly good idea where the hinge holes should be.

I can weld OK but nothing spectacular. Any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

I just feel like I've taken too much on but I'm not one to just give up.

I've started offering up some of the panels go give me an idea of the structure.

I have attached some pictures below thanks

My take would be to remove all the rusty bits.Fit the door and wedge it in it's proper place using rope, straps jacks etc to get the gaps all round correct.Bolt the hinge panels to the hinges and use screws to build up the structure around this.Tack it in place review the fit then weld carefully,Steve..

Does anyone know where the check repair post panel connects? I'm having a rough time working out where everything connects.

Cheers

If you take a look at this thread:

On post #2 there is a link to a video that hopefully will give you an idea of how all the A post bits fit together.
