A new follow up book from Ryno Verster on South African Minis has recently been published, not a cheap book to purchase, as it not from a major publisher and has a limited print run based on demand by enthusiasts, but it might be one to add to your Christmas list based on his previous interesting book which has been reprinted several times and is also a good read about SA Mini production. More info on both books and the in-depth research that has gone into them by Ryno in link here:-

Just received my copy of 'More South African Mini History', I've not had time to read it yet but it looks to be an impressively detailed and well researched book, not just on SA Minis but also for anyone interested in Mini history and production in general. The book is nearly 500 pages, so quite a weighty tome and a similar size and thickness to the old UK telephone directories, for those old enough to remember them. Like the previous book from Ryno Verster it is a limited print run so as said might be worth putting on your 2025 Christmas gift list!

Some reviews of the new book in the the link below, including by Keith Dodd of Minispares and Bill Bell of the 1959 Mini Register:-

And the full AROnline review by Keith Adams.

"Mini Regards by Ryno Verster is a 500-page deep dive into one of the most fascinating and overlooked chapters in BMC and British Leyland history – the South African Mini story. Every now and then a book comes along that reminds us just how global the Mini story really is – and how much we still have to learn."
