The same company who's making these also do MKI Escort, VW Kombi, Toyota FJ40 and a couple of other shells. The Escort shells they have been doing fr some time, so it could e worth seeking out one of those guys to find out what the product s actually like.

 

I did see in one of the photos what appeared to be a later Rover shell that they appeared to be measuring, it did have me like 'MKI ??' I guess someone needs to take that leap of faith to see not only the quality but just how 'MKI' hey really are.

By the time you get one of these shells to your garage, you would probably have almost as much invested as buying a Heritage shell. 

 

I watched a YT video of a guy who imported a bunch of cheap 4 posts lifts for his car collection. By the time all was said and done, shipping, delivery from the port, import fees, ect, ate up most of the savings.

The Mk1 Forum has an interesting thread complete with photos (see link below) on how to tweak the Mk1 Heritage Bodyshell to improve its quality, while also adding back some of the missing Mk1 features in areas where Heritage have had to use or adapt some of the later Rover Mini panels. The thread is just to show what can be done with what is basically supplied as a 'Historic motor sport shell' by BMH to make it nice enough to use for the restoration of a Mk1 road car/show car, etc.

I am in contact with factory and bought front panel fullset to be test. Can't wait to test it out.
The price they offer me for whole new shell are much cheaper than what you see in their website.

It must be more difficult to fit al the bits together than I thought, Lol

I was once blocked in, delivering some brake drums that I had skimmed for HA Saunders in Worcester.  I helped unload a "Sort of" roll cage, that apparently could be hired. which would be assembled inside the car (In this case an 1100), as a Jig so that you knew how far and where to push the crumpled body, and where the new panel should be, to weld the car to it.

 

Does any one know of one still in existence, for a Mini ?

Wasn't there a bloke in the 2000s who was going to build minis in Asia and sell them here?  I can't recall the name but bizarrely, he stopped me outside my house when he saw my mini.
