Depends what your build needs. Start with the same for both and go for a run and inspect if running too hot fit colder plugs. If running to cold fit hotter.
i would start with some NGKs heat range 6.

I use NGK BP6ES or BP7ES. In normal driving you will probably notice no difference. If either car is for serious competition a BP7ES would probably be best.

I use BP6ES for my mildly tuned 1275S. The tuner put BP7ES in when on the RR but they foul around town. The 6s run cleaner.

a lot of things are made in poorer countries just because it's cheap labour, I wouldn't take it as a sign of poor quality
have a google of your favourite products, Dyson, Sony, Nike... Singapore, Taiwan, Brazil, Slovakia, China, Malaysia etc etc, it's pretty normal. Even if you look up Bosch, it's not all made in Germany as you might hope
unless I've missed the point and you're asking something else ?

From the tinterweb
NGK spark plugs are primarily manufactured in Japan, which serves as the company's headquarters and main production hub. While Japan is the primary source, NGK also operates manufacturing facilities in other countries, including Thailand, China, and Brazil.
There are few youtube videos claiming to be able to show how to spot an genuine plug ...
