1968 998 cooper original hub

In the process of inspecting and regreasing hub bearings. I removed rear hub to find ball-type bearing races installed by PO. Everything ok, no wear and fresh grease, but some bearings dropped out. Is there any reason why I shouldn't reinstall the bearings randomly in the cage? I'd rather keep what I have than go for a fresh installation, if possible. Thanks

For these it does not really matter on there position as they are free to rotate.
