remember seeing something where they did car to car refueling whilst going round an oval track, may have been top gear but not quite sure?!

The attached article states that one minute refuelling stops were made every couple of hours. What is more amazing is the fact that it didn’t rust to bits in the seven days and seven nights.

Yes, read the small print, it also average speed. Starting 7 days in a row would've been more impressive 
I make it about 14 thousand miles - I'd guess that's around one service interval, as it must virtually all have been done in top gear for that speed.
